Passage: Luke 5:27-39

Matthew, or Levi, was a tax-collector, a Jewish man who collected taxes on his own Jewish people, friends and family, neighbors and others, for the Romans. He was not well-liked. Yet, Levi invites Jesus, other religious leaders and community leaders, to a feast in his home. Jesus uses this opportunity to teach a parable about the transformation that can take place in the Gospel, and the day when all of God’s people will feast and celebrate together for eternity!
