Pentecost wasn’t just a odd story in the Scripture that happened to Jesus’ disciples. It was the beginning of the Church of Jesus Christ, that has now lasted for over 2,000 years and anxiously awaits His return and the ushering in of the Last Day. We, as His modern disciples, continue to carry out the task given to His disciples at His ascension and at Pentecost – taking His good news into the world around us. As we celebration the confirmation of some of our students at Peace, we rejoice and celebrate this continued purpose extending throughout the generations of our community.
