Passage: Psalms

A prayer for the unity of His disciples was one of the last prayers recorded in the Gospel of John. Jesus knew His disciples would struggle as the reality of a life living out His mission and purpose in their lives would cause tension, dissension, and brokenness in their relationships, not because of His good news, but because of their own pride and sinfulness. But, this has been a struggle in God’s people from the very beginning. Psalm 133 was a cry of God’s people to be united in their faith, in their heart, in their love for God and for one another. In this unity, they were stronger together, as they faced the struggles and persecution from the world around them.
