Passage: Psalms 122:1-9
As the travelers would keep walking up hill, they would round a turn and see the incredibly beautiful, and well-fortified city of Jerusalem, and they would keep pushing. They knew their reward, to celebrate the festival in the midst of their people in Jerusalem, was worth the struggle and danger they faced as they climbed the mountain. Celebrating 65 years of ministry is not an easy task. This has been a long walk up the mountain so to speak, and in many respects it is not done yet. But today we see a glimpse of what is yet to come, the people of God coming together to rejoice in His mercy and grace, to worship Him from all walks of life, and it gives us the courage, the strength, the hope to keep pushing forward!
