God has always provided for the needs of His people. As the Israelites wandered around the desert He gave them food – daily – in the form of manna and quail. Jesus, in the Gospel of John uses the imagery of bread to show Himself to be God’s provision for us in this life. This comes through the life-giving salvation that comes through His death and resurrection, through His Spirit leading us in God’s wisdom and truth, and in being the one who will answer our prayers.
