Passage: John 11:17-27

The Apostle Paul argues in 1 Corinthians that if were not for Christ resurrection, we, His disciples, would have no hope. The reality that Christ is raised from the dead gives us hope to face even the darkest of situations because they are not the end. Christ teaches His disciples to not look to anything else in this life to provide them hope, to look only to Him and that which (in the Gospel of John) He is about to do, conquering sin, death and the devil in His own death and resurrection.
