Passage: John 8:12-20
Darkness is the absence of light, and in the shadows, in the darkness, unthinkable evil can be done, and often without punishment or recourse. But, in Christ Jesus, the truth of God has come into the world, light has pierced the darkness. In the light of Christ, sin and its brokenness is made known, but so it freedom, and mercy and grace in God’s love. The Light of the World is not something to cower away from, but to run towards, to find refuge and strength in, to be enveloped in mercy and grace.
